I finished this painting today! It's painted in a Surrealist style, much in the manner of Salvador Dali and Giorgio de Chirico. Hope you enjoy seeing it.

My current project is a painting of my cat, Clementine! Here it is, in an early stage. I don't think the camera really captures the etherial blue of the sky and the mountain shadows, however. Photos of paintings always look so harsh! Even after adjustment.
Also lately, I'm learning about how to custom mat and frame artwork. It's quite interesting, and will be a useful skill for me to have.
I'll post another update of the painting soon.

I've started a new acrylic painting! This is a personal project.
I thought you might like to see what a painting looks like, in the early stages. Here I've basically drawn everything out, and have started to indicate dark / light values with paint. Colors will be added later.
The image in the upper right is referenced from a well known photograph of the artists Dorothea Tanning and Max Ernst. Dorothea died hardly a month ago, so I thought that a tribute painting to her would be appropriate.
Guess I'd better get back to painting! :)

This is my most recent painting! It's the last picture, which completes the course that I took with Dan Edmondson. Now I shall move on to setting up more of my own still lifes to paint!
