Another update on my current acrylic painting!  :)

Here is my latest acrylic painting, in progress!

Today at the lake, I was walking across the dam, when I spotted some kind of large fish in the water.  It was staying close to the surface, and at one point rolled its body over a couple of times with a splash.


There were two men fishing in a small boat nearby, so I waved at them, and pointed at the fish in the water.  I wanted them to check it out, as I wasn't sure what it was!  One of guys saw me, but then he looked away like he was embarrassed.  I think he thought that I was a crazy person, which was really beside the point.  I waited for the guy to notice me again, but he refused to look my way, and then he started scratching his nuts.  Suddenly he noticed the large fish in the water, so he told the other guy to steer the boat towards the fish. The nut scratching guy tried to get the fish with a small net, but the fish made another large splash and disappeared.  It was a carp, I could hear the driver of the boat say, which wasn't nearly the kind of excitement I had hoped for.   I thought it was a sea monster, as it must have been three or four feet long.  So I walked away.  Next time I'll be thinking twice before soliciting the assistance of rude passers-by.  

My latest endeavor has been decorating wooden picture frames, with acrylic paint!  Here is a photo for your enjoyment:

Today was another one of those days.  I went to the lake for a walk, as it was a really beautiful day.  So after getting some exercise, on the way back to my car, I splashed through a puddle in the parking lot.  To my horror, I realized that the puddle was coming from a porta-potty up on the grass.  So I had to run down the hill real quickly, to wash my shoes off in the lake.  That's what I get for trying to enjoy the great outdoors.  I guess tomorrow I should go out and buy new shoes, but I think the best option is just to stay home from now on!
