I've started a new acrylic painting!  This is a personal project.

I thought you might like to see what a painting looks like, in the early stages.  Here I've basically drawn everything out, and have started to indicate dark / light values with paint.  Colors will be added later.

The image in the upper right is referenced from a well known photograph of the artists Dorothea Tanning and Max Ernst.  Dorothea died hardly a month ago, so I thought that a tribute painting to her would be appropriate.

Guess I'd better get back to painting!  :)

I finished another acrylic painting today!  This too was completed as part of Daniel Edmondson's online painting course (reference my previous post).

What I liked about doing this painting, was working with a strong overall color for the whole scene (in this case, yellow)...

Here are some acrylic paintings that I've recently completed! These were created as part of the oil painting study course taught by Daniel Edmondson.    (Dan's letting me use acrylics in his oil painting class). The scenes are based on still lifes set up by Dan.  You can visit Dan's artist's website here:  www.danieledmondson.com

The images can be clicked on, to enlarge.  Enjoy!
