I'm calling this one finished.  :)

Acrylic and molding paste on MDF, 5" x 7".

  1. Hi, Mikey! The heavily textured surface adds so much to this painting. Does the molding paste help to add to that? Every time I enlarge this, I find something I missed before.:) That makes this type of painting so interesting! :)

  2. Yes, the paste adds a lot of texture! It's pretty weird stuff, I think it's supposed to make the surface more absorbent, which means that the paint would dry quickly. But instead, it seems to stay wet for a long time!

  4. I think the paste would really come in handy, on a large abstract painting. I still hope to do some abstracts soon!
