  1. That was really fast, Mikey! :) Are you adding the "stems" on the fruit or are they already there? A very "cheery" painting. :) I wish I had some apples! :)

  2. Hi! How did the Candlelight Service go?

It took only two sittings, to create this painting. I brushed a layer of acrylic medium over the previous work, and it kept the paint wet enough to keep working on it. I liked that.

Those little pears are called seckel pears. They're like bosc pears, except half the size. They're cute, and have a rich orange-yellow color. I actually lost the pears, I don't know where they went. The last I saw them, was at Rice's Market. I thought I brought them home. I still have the apple. There were stems on the actual fruit, but only stubby ones. I embellished them in my painting! :)

  3. Ceremony was good,I listed Clementine's name when the volunteer told us to give the names of the "furbabies" we were there for. :) Those pears are cute! My store doesn't have those. Someone probably helped themselves to your pears.Have you eaten one of those pears before? :)

  4. Yikes, better not take any more fruit to Rice's, they may claim that you are trying to sell fruit! :)

  5. Yes, actually I think the selling of food at Rice's is prohibited, unless maybe you have a special license or something.

Nope, I've never eaten one of those little pears. I'm sure they're tasty, though. I don't think my store has them very often, either!

Thank you for mentioning Clementine at the service! :) I appreciate that, and I know Clemmie does, too. Did you feel better after the service? It must be pretty moving. I saw the list of animals that people were commemorating at the service, it's a long list!

  6. There was a lot of people at the service,I did enjoy it. :) I saw that list too. A person was from Pampa, Texas. Another person had lost their pet 55 years ago and was still posting. How many paintings will you take on Friday to Rice's?

  7. 55 years! Wow! I thought I was bad, for grieving Clementine for 7 months. :) But of course the beloved pets always stay with us, never to be forgotten.

I think I'll have 9 paintings to take to Rice's. I also might bring the three picture frames that I decorated with fruit. I'd like to try to sell different things.

I'll be off to bed in a bit! Goodnight!

  8. Yes, the posting from the guy was kind of unusual. Going to the store in the morning for my Thanksgiving "goodies". Good night, Mikey and Bruce! :)
