Here is a new painting, "Still Life with Mango"!  It's mostly finished, but will probably be touched up here and there.

Acrylic on Masonite, 6" x 6".

  1. Just watched Dragon being released from the ISS. Excellent choice of pitcher next to "delicious" mango. I get a "tropical" feeling looking at this. Very calming! :) I'm wondering if the pitcher was difficult to paint?? Simply "beautiful". :)

  2. At least the ISS doesn't have to worry about this annoying hurricane! :) Glad you got to see some Dragon action.

Yes, the pitcher was pretty difficult. It has many thin layers of paint! The mango was rough too, I kept putting the highlight in the wrong spot. And it went from being more purple, to orange instead!

  3. Sitting here thinking of you and Bruce... Talked to Janet this morning.

  4. Oh boy, how is Janet doing? I bet she'll have a rough time keeping the house clean, with so many dogs going outside in this weather!

They're saying that Sandy may have the lowest barometric pressure ever recorded in the Northeast. We're getting a light rain now, and some occasional gusty breezes. Bruce wanted to go on a walk outside, but the weather is not permitting, so we just stayed on the front porch for a bit.

  5. Michelle just called, she's getting off of work now. I'm going to go pick her up, and take her home. She wants to stop at the store, too.

  6. Janet is fine. I told her that she should have a generator. No power and all of those animals to take care of... good grief. :( John's son is coming to stay with them as he lives in New Jersey and doesn't want to be there. How can this be right... one weather authority said some parts of West Virginia could get 60 inches of snow... Give me a call if you can.

  8. Hi! I decided to hurry and turn my computer on for a bit. Nothing new to report, except that my email is not working. But I was able to cook dinner, with the power on. Looks like the eye of the storm will hit Delaware. Well, I better turn off the computer for now. :)
