Oh, Mikey, that apple is just so unbelievable!! The black background really brings out the colors in the apple and the pear. Not to forget the green one too.. very, very realistic looking! :) Utterly beautiful!!!! :)
Glad you like it! :) I enjoyed painting the red apple. I agree that black backgrounds help to bring out color in the fruit, although for variety, I should probably do other colored backgrounds too....
Let me know what you think about Wobbles World. I think they are trying to get up to 200 likes! :) I'll be looking to see if you have a posting on there! :) Goodnight Mikey and Bruce! :)
Hi! Yes, I saw that story about Big Tex. It made me think of the time I was "expecting" you and Michelle and we had went to the State Fair. I remember standing there and looking "up" at Big Tex. They are going to rebuild Big Tex before next year. :) Going to the library this morning. Happy Painting! :)
So you went to the State Fair before Michelle and I were born? I don't think we ever went there as kids? For some reason I don't recall going, but seems like we might have. I wonder what the new BIg Tex will look like!
Thelma and Louise on Woobles World are really cute. :) They look a lot alike.
I was at the library a couple days ago. Got a couple of good art books.
Hi! I think we all did go to State Fair when you were very young... as I remember it was really hot and you were not enjoying yourself too much.:( Did you see the pictures of Big Tex while he was on fire? Woobles World responded to one of your postings. :) Thelma and Louise...cute names too. Time to check on my plants. :)
Yes, I saw the reply from Woobles World, regarding the aquarium! Of course we know that most cats love watching fish. :)
Bruce was fooling around today, while sitting up in the kitchen window. He fell off, and I was right there to catch him in mid-air. :) He's always doing something he shouldn't! :)
I saw a video of Big Tex on fire. What a shame. It seems like we did go there once, but I wasn't sure!
I wonder if they'll catch the nutjob that killed that little girl in Colorado. Seems like there's always someone committing murder in Colorado. It's weird....
Another really cute picture from Woobles World has been posted. :) Bruce does sound like a real character. Remember Don and Stormy's cats? I felt so sorry for them. Tried to do all I could for them when I was pet sitting them. :) Same with Toby.:) It must be something about Colorado... I could never live there.
Hi! Oh boy, mango... I know it will be beautiful. :) I have been looking at some of the other websites on Woobles World.Very interesting! Woobles does a lot of posting every day. I like that.:) Really enjoy reading them. Hope you have a good day at work and please tell Bruce "Hi" for me. :)
Yummm... mangoes are so good. Have to get some plants watered for Alexis and Mike. They went to Atlanta this weekend as it is the first anniversary of her mom's death. Took Toby with them. Her mom was such a nice person. :) One more look at Woobles. :) Talk to you later! :)
Hi, Mikey and Bruce. :) Just got back from pet loss chatroom. Oh brother what a night. Tried to call you to see if you could join. :) How is the "mango" coming along? Goodnight to the both of you. :)
Hi! I was just doing some doodling. Trying to develop an idea for an abstract painting, while I wait for another layer of paint to dry, on the mango picture. I think I'll have some dinner...

ReplyDeleteJust had to look at the enlarged version again! I am going outside for a few minutes as I have been completly "blown away"! :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you like it! :) I enjoyed painting the red apple. I agree that black backgrounds help to bring out color in the fruit, although for variety, I should probably do other colored backgrounds too....
ReplyDeleteWas the red apple harder to paint than the green one? Ayone got a video camera you can borrow so we can see you while you are painting? :)
ReplyDeleteThey were about the same in difficulty. The green apple here looks washed out, I think it looks better in the actual painting.
ReplyDeleteToday I starting putting together a simple catalog of my paintings, strictly for record keeping purposes.
I'm off to bed! Have a good evening. I'll check out that new Tommy and Gracie post! :)

ReplyDeleteSorry, that's Woobles not Wobbles! :)
ReplyDeleteGoodnight, Mikey and Bruce! :) Hope that you both had a good day! :)
ReplyDeleteGoodnight Mom!
ReplyDeleteIt's been a warm, wet day today.
Did you see that Big Tex (at the Texas State Fair) was destroyed by fire? Good grief!

ReplyDeleteYes, I remember those cats. They didn't know what to think when they saw their litter box all nice and clean. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm working on a new painting, of a mango. :)
I have to go to work in about an hour...

ReplyDeleteIt's a pretty dark painting, actually. The mango is a dark red, sitting next to a small silver pitcher. Hopefully it'll be interesting to look at.
ReplyDeleteGotta leave now! Talk to you later! Say hi to Woobles World for me. :)

ReplyDeleteCute "Snoppy" posting on Tommy and Gracie this morning. :) If you are going to art class, I hope that you have a great time. :)
ReplyDeleteOpps... sorry about that... "Snoopy" not "Snoppy". :)
ReplyDeleteI just saw the Snoopy cartoon. :) The moon was really big in the sky the other night.
ReplyDeleteThe mango is doing okay, I need to play up the darks / lights some more!
Hi, Mikey! :) I'll be watching!:)
